Without spoiling the content in our upcoming newsletter, I want to post a few photos of the events we were blessed to participate in this last week.
I was so blessed to be able to participate, for the first time, in the Sister Care workshops lead by Carolyn Heggen and Rhoda Keener. It was a meaningful experience more than I can describe here. I met women from Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and other parts of Colombia. We had fun socializing and worshiping together.
This last week we also attended a peace forum put on by Justapaz and IMCOL. We finished the week at Assembly in Cachipay, Colombia. The Assembly was held in the Mennonite Camp called La Finca. It was so nice to meet delegates and pastors from all over Colombia, and to be in fresh air!
Here are a few of the buildings of the camp…
I got really into taking pictures of nature while we were there because it was just.so.beautiful. So, if amateur pictures of flowers, rain, trees etc bore you, skip ahead 🙂
And this little girl…SO PRECIOUS…She kept calling for me using the word for sister–hermana. “-mana!”
We also got to celebrate the 70th anniversary party of Mennonite Church Colombia. It was a formal party on the 35th floor of a nice hotel in Bogota.
All in all it was a great week, full of wonderful and blessed experiences. After we were exhausted due to Spanish-overload, but we learned so much!
